Welcome to Wellspring
Shot as an advertisement for Wellspring Birth Center, this project was posted on the official Wellspring website. Wellspring’s Youtube, Instagram, Facebook as well as their website’s main page show off this work. B-Roll was shot during a training day for new and existing employees, while the testimonials were recorded the two following days.
During this multiday shoot, me and my partner were charged with collecting all of the B-Roll that was going to be used. For the testimonials, I help set up the lights, camera, and boom mic placement.
All of the B-Roll was taken during a training event Wellspring was offering. Me and my partner shadowed the trainees and employees as they went through various planned events.
All of the testemonials were recorded in a birthing room, which limited the space around us. The main camera was pressed against the bed while the lights and boom mic were pressed against one another to make room for a second camera angle.
While recording the additional camera angle, I was placed in charge of collecting BTS footage. Due to the claustrophobic nature of our environment, there could be little to no movement while the camera was rolling.
